Glebe Heritage.

A fresh revival of its heritage, for this old but classic Victorian terrace in Glebe.  

Kristin and Tony wanted to renovate their Glebe terrace house to retain its classic Victorian charm.  They wanted a warm, comfortable space for a family, with strong attention to detail in keeping with the nostalgic appeal of the Victorian architectural style of the terrace.

Kristin and Tony had talked to many builders for their Glebe renovation. Still, they found many did not understand the classic Victorian terrace concept they were looking for until they chose SBR Group as their Glebe builder.

For SBR Group, the devil is in the details for this Glebe renovation.  The owners had sourced materials, fixtures and lots of ideas from overseas and the build required authentic Victorian terrace style features throughout the renovation.  Nothing says Victorian more than tessellated tiles, leadlight windows, exposed copper piping, even the 100-year-old lighting fixtures from an old English library required to be converted and installed allowing the classic style to shine. 

The first floor is accessed by an impressive main wooden staircase, inspired by an old outback pub, and painstakingly designed and fitted by SBR Group.   The new attic space is now accessed by a spiral staircase with cast-iron balustrading to reveal city views to Centrepoint Tower through traditional dormer windows.  Step back in time to piles of old bricks and gravel in the newly created back courtyard and arched wooden gates for the new car space. 

Kristin and Tony are ecstatic with the result of their new four bedrooms, two storeys plus attic and off-street car space, as an ode to the past for this modern family.
